Forward Deployed Engineering
Senior OOZOU engineers who join your team, work in your stack, and own one outcome: getting your AI and software into production, from inside your business.
Get StartedMost companies do not have a technology problem. They have a gap between what a platform, model, or vendor promises and what their own systems, data, and people can absorb. Pilots stall in that gap. Vendors throw solutions over the wall and disappear. Hiring the right senior engineers takes months you do not have.
Forward deployed engineers close the gap from the inside. The model was popularized by Palantir and is now how OpenAI, Anthropic, and Amazon Web Services get their technology working inside customers. OOZOU does the same for you: senior engineers who sit with your team in Bangkok, Singapore, or Hong Kong, or work remotely, take responsibility for one clearly defined outcome, ship working software every week, and hand over a system your team owns and understands. You meet the engineers before they start, you scale the team up or down as the mission changes, and everything they build lives in your repositories and your cloud accounts.
Key Capabilities
Concrete capabilities we bring to this engagement — not buzzwords.
Your Team, Your Tools, Your Office
Our engineers work inside your standups, your chat, your codebase, and your building. They work in your stack, adapt to how your team operates, and answer to your priorities, not to a project manager on our side.
AI That Reaches Production
LLM agents, RAG assistants, and automation taken from a promising pilot to something your staff use every day: evaluation, guardrails, human review steps, and the plumbing that makes it reliable.
The Integrations Nobody Wants
Core banking, ERP, CRM, data warehouses, single sign-on, and the internal API with no documentation. We connect new capabilities to the systems your business already runs on.
A Handover You Can Live With
Documented architecture, runbooks, tests, and paired work with your engineers throughout, so when we step back nothing depends on us.
Technologies We Use
Proven tools and platforms we apply where they fit — chosen for the problem, not the trend cycle.
Our Approach
A clear path from problem to production — adjusted per service, never one-size-fits-all.
Scope the Mission
One working session with your sponsor: the outcome, who it serves, how success is measured, and when it needs to be live. Days, not a procurement cycle.
Meet Your Engineers
You interview the actual people who will join your team before anything is signed. No bench swaps, no bait and switch.
Embed in Week One
Access, accounts, standups, and time with the people who do the work today. We learn how things really flow before proposing how to change them.
Ship Every Week
Working software in front of real users from the first weeks, priorities reset as we learn, and progress visible to everyone.
Harden for Production
Security review, monitoring, evaluations, and performance work so the system meets your standards, not just the demo standard.
Hand Over or Extend
Your team owns the system end to end. Keep the engineers on as standing capacity, scale down, or close out on the notice period agreed upfront.
Budgets of All Sizes
We work with budgets across the full range. The team adapts scope, size, and engagement model to what you can spend, without lowering the bar on how we build.
Enterprise
Full delivery teams for complex platforms, with the security, compliance, and process rigor large organizations expect.
Growing Teams
Flexible engagements that scale with you. Add capacity when you need it, scale back when you don't, without renegotiating from scratch.
Small Business & Startups
Lean, focused builds that get the essentials right. We help you trim scope, not quality, so a modest budget still ships a solid product.
Why This Matters
Outcomes we aim for — measurable in product quality, speed, and business impact.
Measured on Outcomes, Not Hours
You are not buying hours, a backlog, or a slide deck. You are getting engineers whose success is judged by whether the system is live and creating value.
Weeks, Not a Hiring Cycle
Senior engineers embedded in weeks, without a six-month recruiting process, payroll, or the risk of a wrong permanent hire. Scale the team up or down as the mission changes.
You Stay in Control
Code in your repositories, infrastructure in your accounts, decisions in your standups. Nothing to migrate and no lock-in when the engagement ends.
On the Ground in Southeast Asia
Bangkok-based engineers who speak Thai and English, understand how business gets done in the region, and can be in your office this week.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about how we work.
What is a forward deployed engineer?
A forward deployed engineer (FDE) is a software engineer who works embedded inside a client's organization, often on-site, building and deploying software directly into that client's workflows and systems. Palantir popularized the role, and OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, and many AI companies have since adopted it, because getting advanced technology into production usually takes engineers who understand the customer's environment from the inside.
How is this different from a consultant, a staffing agency, or an outsourced team?
Consultants advise and leave. Staffing agencies fill a seat and step away. Outsourced teams build to a specification from a distance. Forward deployed engineers do the engineering themselves, inside your team, and are accountable for a working system in production. Scope adapts as we learn instead of being defended through change requests.
When does it make sense to bring in forward deployed engineers?
When the gap between what a technology can do and what your organization can absorb right now is large. Typical cases: moving AI agents or LLM features from pilot into real business processes, connecting a new platform to legacy and enterprise systems, launching a product in a market where local context matters, or unblocking an internal team that has the vision but not the capacity or specialist skills.
How quickly can OOZOU engineers start, and how long do they stay?
Usually within two to three weeks of scoping the mission. You interview the engineers first, and once you approve them we handle onboarding so your team spends its time on the work, not on hiring administration. Missions typically run three to six months with one to three engineers, and many clients keep a smaller standing team afterwards.
What happens if it is not working out?
We agree the notice period and a first checkpoint upfront, usually at the end of the first month. If an engineer is not the right fit, we replace them. If the mission itself no longer makes sense, you close it out on the agreed notice, with no long-term commitment holding you in place.
Who owns the code and the intellectual property?
You do, from day one. Our engineers work in your repositories and your cloud accounts under your access controls, and everything they produce belongs to you. There is nothing to hand back or migrate when the engagement ends.
